Majid Kavousifar is an Iranian former security officer who gained notoriety for his role in the high-profile assassination of a prominent Iranian politician in 1998. Kavousifar and his accomplice, Hossein Kamyab, were convicted of the murder of Mohammad Reza Khatami, a deputy minister and brother of the then-President of Iran, Mohammad Khatami.
